A strong ballet foundation is critical to becoming a truly fine dancer in any dance form. Lyrical dance is a mix between jazz and ballet. It is often referred to as contemporary dance. Dancers learn how to tell a story through their music, by using their facial expressions and body movements. In this class my goal is to teach each dancer how to express themselves through their dance and to learn how to feel the music. In this class, the students will perform one ballet and one lyrical dance in the spring recital.
